Garden

We are creating a Community Sensory Garden!

Within the church grounds at Christ Church Pennington, we have a peaceful, secluded garden which we want to transform into an asset for the entire community. Particularly focusing on the needs of our neurodiverse friends and neighbours, the Community Sensory Garden will be a space where anyone can enjoy.

Here are some of the ideas we have:

WE NEED YOU!

Would you like to help create this garden?

We are currently needing help with clearing weeds and brambles in the garden.

Would you like to use the garden?

You are welcome to come and enjoy the space without gardening!

You can come at any of the following times:

Monday: 9am – 3pm

Tuesday: 9am – 8pm

Wednesday: 9am – 3pm

Thursday: 9am – 3pm

Friday: 9am – 5pm –

2pm-5pm on Fridays is when the Garden Club meets, come and garden with others at that time!)

Saturday: 9am – 8pm

Sunday: 1pm – 6pm

Please email garden@christchurchpennington.com with the time you would like to come, and we will send you instructions of how to access the garden, and any jobs you can help with (if you like!).

Please note that you will be gardening by yourself during these times, apart from on Friday afternoons between 2-5pm when the Garden Club meets.

Can you help the garden to grow?

We are asking for donations of plants and equipment to help the community sensory garden to become a reality. Perhaps you would like to donate a plant in memory of someone, a business who would like to sponsor part of the garden, or you would just like to donate anyway!

Please see below for the items we are currently asking to be sponsored:

(List, ideally with the ability for people to select what they would like to pay for, with the space for them to write a message in memory etc. too, as well as the ability to pay online. Once things have been paid for, they will then come up as ‘bought’)
